Crispy Chicken Wraps

Crunchy coated chicken strips tucked into a warm wrap with all the toppings. Better than any takeaway.

Ingredients

For 4 servings

  • 3 chicken breasts, sliced into strips
  • 100g plain flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 150g breadcrumbs (panko works best)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 4 large tortilla wraps
  • Toppings: lettuce, sliced tomato, sweetcorn, cheese, mayo or sour cream

Instructions

    Set up three bowls - flour (seasoned with salt and pepper), beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs mixed with paprika and garlic powder.

    Coat each chicken strip in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs. Press the crumbs on well.

    Heat about 1cm of oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.

    Fry the chicken strips in batches for 3-4 minutes each side until golden brown and cooked through.

    Drain on kitchen paper.

    Warm the wraps in a dry pan for 30 seconds each side.

    Load up each wrap with chicken strips, lettuce, tomato, sweetcorn, cheese, and your favourite sauce. Roll up tight and enjoy.
